Digital marketing intern (3-6 months) 

Overview 

Uplifter is a 6-year old software-as-a-service scale-up.  

Our product, Uplifter, is a Link Management Platform – a tool that helps marketing teams to track their “drive to web” activity using intelligent campaign links and QR codes. 

We are a small business who are remote-first - primarily from home, but meeting up in London once a week.  

Although this internship is unpaid, it will give you the chance to build your CV in digital marketing, putting you in an excellent position to impress future employers. 

About you 

You will be a bright, enthusiastic graduate, who wants to gain practical experience in maintaining and improving websites, content marketing, social media and paid search. 

You will be self-driven, energetic and willing to fail fast, learning on the job.  

We are looking for someone who has strong ideas. We encourage you to be ambitious and try new things writing articles, creating videos, running ad campaigns and deploying them in different marketing channels.  

No previous digital marketing work experience is required but we hope that you will be looking for a chance to practice what you have learned in your degree.  

Exceptional candidates may have an opportunity to apply for a permanent role at the end of the internship. 

About us 

We are just 4 people plus a few specialist contractors. Originally part of Mezzo Labs – one of the UK’s largest digital analytics agencies – Uplifter Ltd is now an independent business. 

We launched our beta product in 2018 and were oversubscribed with users from a wide range of geographies.  

We pivoted a couple of times before we decided to focus on becoming the world’s best Enterprise Link Management Platform. We now have a solid foundation of blue-chip customers and are looking for our next stage of growth before attracting VC funding.  

Requirements  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Marketing, or similar  

  • Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor visas for this position) 

Technical skills 

  • Experience at building or editing a website in any web platform (we use Squarespace) 

  • Design experience using a graphics editor like Adobe Photoshop or Canva 

  • Good understanding of social networking or running a blog 

  • Good writing skills 

Personal skills 

  • Self-motivated and driven – you will be expected to own your work, and not wait to be told what to do 

  • Good problem-solving skills 

Responsibilities 

Reporting to the CEO and founder, Adrian Kingwell, and working with the Head of Product, Alex Holman-Butt, you will:  

  • Create articles for our website and for social media 

  • Create simple explainer videos and animations 

  • Run paid media campaigns on LinkedIn and/or Google Ads 

  • Review competitor websites to understand their positioning and to adopt trends in our market
