How do I use short links?

Short links require a paid Uplifter account to create. First create a free account here and then upgrade to paid licence here.

Whenever you create a new link in Uplifter, you will be given a full UTM long link plus its associated short link. The short link will look like this: https://upl.inc/a4s5d6

Copy and paste that short link into your ad platform as the landing page, social media platform as the call to action or design platform when creating offline ads.

Note: You can change the URL slug to be easier to remember (e.g. https://upl.inc/deals) if the term you want is not already in use as a URL slug elsewhere. To name your URL slug whatever you want, we recommend integrating your own custom short link domain within Uplifter.

When you deploy your short link and someone clicks through on it, they'll be redirected to your landing page with all of the parameters as if they'd clicked on the full UTM code.

Why use short links?

Short links are great tools to use to optimise your marketing strategy. They are clean, concise, and seem more trustworthy, which can increase the likelihood of consumers clicking them. They can also be branded to include important keywords. These characteristics would improve click-through rates. Moreover, short links have built-in tracking features that help organisations measure how well they perform, which is important when evaluating the efficacy of campaigns.
